Ouch!
Our sweet Hannah wanted desperately to walk Sampson the “big” black puppy at the park one sunny cold Saturday afternoon. Josh said okay with some rules that will keep her out of harm's way while walking their energetic wild puppy he handed over Sampson’s leash. Of course, Hannah said that she would be able to handle Sampson & the rules with a beautiful smile from her sweet loving face. However, Josh got a tad ahead of Sampson & Hannah, which made Sampson feel some urgency to catch up to his master… as he whizzed off with our sweet little Hannah behind him all I saw was Hannah flying across the air & with a thud Hannah hit the sidewalk & was being dragged on the black wintry pavement. I yelled to Josh to get him to stop walking as he turned & saw Hannah with tears running down her beautiful face yelling at Sampson to “stop!” In a second flat Josh was at Hannah’s side, placing her into his massive loving arms & gazing at her side were the blood was already oozing from. Josh gave me a look which meant that there was no way I was going to be able to aid Hannah in any way…see I have a hard time with any of my kids bleeding it is so bad that I am unable to nurse them back to health, sad I know! As Josh was taking care of Hannah, I was yelling at Sampson… Hannah stop crying to say “please mom it was not his fault Sampson just wanted to catch up to dad, don’t be too mad at him.” I could not believe my ears, here was our little lady in a lot of pain from this dumb dog & all she wanted was understanding from me & not be too mad at the thing that brought the pain to my daughter! “If only” I could be that forgiving. I am amazed by Hannah’s loving heart, & how easy it is for her to forgive. “If only”
