The Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe.

Joshua & I are by no means surprise by our little ladies abilities to achieve their very best at anything & everything that they do. Addison & her reading group at school decided to do a play for other classmates & their parents. While Addie’s extremely proud parents watched her give, a flawless performance Joshua asked if I helped her memorize her parts I had to utter “nope.”, she did not want me to listen to her parts until the BIG day. Hannah & Patience help their little sister every night. It was a magnificent day for our sweet little family.

Hannah & Sampson!

Ouch!
Our sweet Hannah wanted desperately to walk Sampson the “big” black puppy at the park one sunny cold Saturday afternoon. Josh said okay with some rules that will keep her out of harm's way while walking their energetic wild puppy he handed over Sampson’s leash. Of course, Hannah said that she would be able to handle Sampson & the rules with a beautiful smile from her sweet loving face. However, Josh got a tad ahead of Sampson & Hannah, which made Sampson feel some urgency to catch up to his master… as he whizzed off with our sweet little Hannah behind him all I saw was Hannah flying across the air & with a thud Hannah hit the sidewalk & was being dragged on the black wintry pavement. I yelled to Josh to get him to stop walking as he turned & saw Hannah with tears running down her beautiful face yelling at Sampson to “stop!” In a second flat Josh was at Hannah’s side, placing her into his massive loving arms & gazing at her side were the blood was already oozing from. Josh gave me a look which meant that there was no way I was going to be able to aid Hannah in any way…see I have a hard time with any of my kids bleeding it is so bad that I am unable to nurse them back to health, sad I know! As Josh was taking care of Hannah, I was yelling at Sampson… Hannah stop crying to say “please mom it was not his fault Sampson just wanted to catch up to dad, don’t be too mad at him.” I could not believe my ears, here was our little lady in a lot of pain from this dumb dog & all she wanted was understanding from me & not be too mad at the thing that brought the pain to my daughter! “If only” I could be that forgiving. I am amazed by Hannah’s loving heart, & how easy it is for her to forgive. “If only”

We love this...

The girls love Ice Skating, if they could be on the Ice from the moment they wake up until bed time they would be in heaven! I have to say that they are pretty dang good! = ) Erin is Patience's good friend they spend almost every minute of the day with each other.

"We must strive to be like the moon."

If you have not read a long way gone memoirs of a boy soldier by: Ishmael Beah please put it on your list of books to read this year! This quote & it's meaning is just what the Doctor ordered for me... "We must strive to be like the moon." An old man in a small village is always saying this quote, & the meaning behind it is a god sent! "It is a reminder to people to always be on their best behavior & to be good to others."
The grandmother in the story also goes on to explain it & improves the meaning that has now become the saying in which I tell my kids every day as I drop them off at school.

"She said that people complain when there is too much sun & it gets unbearably hot, & also when it rains too much or when it is cold. But, she said, no one grumbles when the moon shines. Everyone becomes happy & appreciates the moon in their own special way. A lot of happy things happen when the moon shines. These are some of the reason why we should want to be like the moon."
If it is still unclear, why I have adopted this quote all I can say is for one day try to make others & yourself happy & please don't forget the part about appreciate! = >

The Rainbow Butterfly

The Rainbow Butterfly

The wind blows.

The grass whistles.

The crickets crick.

A butterfly flutters by.

A butterfly is dancing in the wind.

It took the color from a rainbow

and opened her wings.

The Water Falls

The water falls like smoke,

curling up like flower petals

and shines like wet stars.

Sunlight makes it shine.

The water shines pink.

The waterfall smells

like morning daisies and

chases the rainbow

across the morning.

Tree House Mania

Tree House Mania

Tree house
So high in the sky!
I like you
And you like me.
All the birds fly to see
But all you’re doing is
Waiting for me.

Christmas Morning with our little family!

Josh & Stephanie playin' the Wii.

Mom & Dad Wii Boxin' each other...this was one of the high lites from Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve...

Look at what the Pajama Elf put on the front door for our little ladies! This was the first year all the girls liked the PJ's that was left for them...However, we were over at some friends house when he found the girls. Patience was a little embarrassed because our friends oldest is in her school with her. Nevertheless our girls look fantastic & had a night full of games, & smiles!
